Notice for Biometrics Collection: Please be advised that the Chandigarh and Jalandhar VACs will be open on alternate Saturdays until January 27, 2024 (Saturday openings: 13th, 20th and 27th January 2024) for biometric enrolment services.
All appointments for Biometric and Package Transmission booked for 4th & 5th December will be accepted from 6th December, Wednesday to 8th December, Friday this week during business hours.

The Visa Application Centers in Chennai will remain closed on 05th Dec 2023 (Tuesday) due to cyclone Michaung, all the appointments scheduled for 05 th Dec (Tuesday) stands cancelled. The Canada Visa Application Centre in Bengaluru will be closed on Friday 29th September, 2023 and will resume operations normally on Tuesday 3rd October, 2023.
The Canada Visa Application Centre in New Delhi will be closed on Friday 8 September, 2023 and will resume operations normally on Monday 11 September, 2023.
Following Ministerial Instructions issued by the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada on April 9, April 29, May 19, June 10, July 1, and October 1, 2020, February 1 and September 1, 2021, and April 1, 2022, applicants can no longer submit an application for temporary residence in paper at the VAC. New Ministerial Instructions issued on April 1, 2023, have extended this measure for an indefinite period of time with some exemptions. Please check the IRCC website to find out more about these exemptions.

If you submitted an application for temporary residence in paper to the VAC and are not eligible under one of these exemptions, your application will be returned to you.

Only applicants and accompanying family members can visit the visa application centres to submit passports and collect decision envelopes.
Our Canada visa applicants in India IRCC is no longer accepting expired Biometric Instruction Letters (BIL). Kindly ensure you have a valid BIL to visit the Canada Visa Application Centre to enrol biometrics. Once you receive the Passport request letter, you have 30 days to submit your passport. Administrative time for pick-up and delivery of passport to High Commission should be factored within the 30 days’ time.
To arrange for a courier for passport pick-up, you must use the VFS webform at < href="#" class="orange" target="_blank">https://vfs-cic.mioot.com/forms/PS/. Expired passport submission letters will not be accepted. Applications for applicants who do not submit their passports within the 30-day deadline will be refused for non-compliance.

Owing to the increased demand for travel to Canada, effective 1600hrs Friday, 17th December 2021 customers of the Canada Visa Application Centres (CVAC) in India will only be able to schedule biometric appointments by completing the appointment booking webform:
Prior appointment is mandatory to visit the Canada Visa Application Centre.
Customers will be required to bring the following documents when they visit the CVAC
• The Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) as received from IRCC
• The completed VAC Consent Form
• Copy of the VFS issued appointment confirmation email and/or SMS notification.
• Passport/Travel document
• 1 piece of Government issued Photo ID.
Important: The VACs will turn away clients if the name and Date of Birth on your appointment letter does not match your passport or travel document.
Please note, you must bring your Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) to your biometric appointment along with your valid permit document to the VAC to confirm that you are a Student or a returning student.
It has come to VFS Global’s attention that, individuals misrepresenting themselves as VFS Global’ agents or representatives have approached people to offer fraudulent/fictitious employment opportunities, with the intent to steal personal information or solicit money from people. We encourage you to exercise caution and common sense when receiving any such employment offer, which requires payment of any fees/money, or promises a work visa in exchange for money. The said offers are completely fake and not valid. VFS Global is not a Recruitment agency and does not offer recruitment services. Scammers operate primarily via the internet, email, phone etc. We warn people to beware of such scams.
Please be advised that, VFS Global is a visa processing company and we work only with government and diplomatic missions to fulfil their administrative requirements of visa application processing. Neither VFS Global nor its representatives will ask for money from individuals under any circumstances to lure them with employment opportunities either in VFS Global or outside. If you receive any offer that purports to be from VFS Global, which ask for money, these types of offers are fraudulent.
Warning signs of recruitment fraud The following are some examples of recruitment fraud which are in violation of VFS Global’s processes and ethical practices:
The email is not sent from an official VFS Global e-mail address but from a free e-mail service such as: Hotmail, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc. It is also possible that, the email is sent from a fake email address.
You are asked to disclose private or confidential information.
You are asked to be interviewed over the phone or via an instant-messenger type program.
You are requested to pay fees/money.
You are requested to complete bogus recruitment documentations such as an application or employment visa forms, (the VFS Global name and logo could be forged/fabricated and featured on the documentation without authority).
Insistence on urgency.
Money will be requested for processing Work Permits, Visa applications or the like.
Such actions are presumably intended to defraud or obtain personal information from the victims. The activities of these individuals involve criminal and civil liabilities. While VFS Global takes such matter seriously and reserves its right to contact competent law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute such illegal activities, it is often difficult to locate and prosecute these individuals.
Therefore, if you receive a request, either in writing or verbally, for an interview or a job offer that you believe is or might be fraudulent or suspicious, please disregard them. You may also verify the same with VFS Global at communications@vfsglobal.com
If you come to know that a fraud is being perpetrated, we encourage to forthwith contact your local police and/or any competent authorities and also to keep us informed by reporting the fraud at acco@vfsglobal.com.

Important notice: Please be informed that the appointment scheduling service is necessary only for providing your biometric information. Please make your appointment when you consider you have all the necessary documents.
For applicants from Bhutan wishing to book an appointment for biometric enrolment, but who do not have an India mobile number, you are requested to visit the VAC in person for assistance with your appointment requirement. VAC agents will be available to assist you with booking a same-day appointment. All such applicants must present their valid Bhutanese passport along with the Biometric Instruction Letter when visiting the VAC.
All other applicants are requested to use the appointment booking webform to schedule their appointments.
Please book your appointment using the same name and Date of Birth on your passport or travel document. The VACs will turn away clients if the name and Date of Birth on your appointment letter does not match your passport or travel document
